About the CD-ROMs
The
images featured on my CD-ROMs have been selected on the
basis of their esthetic qualities or documentary value in
relationship with the guidebooks make the images easy to find and visualize, they are sorted
within folders named after a specific park or
region.
The
images are easily manipulated in most graphic programs and
can be used as screen savers, on the web or as illustrations
for brochures or other printed materials under certain
conditions. You cannot resell or use the images for
commercial purposes, however, you can resize them, change
their resolution, save them as .GIF or .JPG images, use them
as screen savers or print them in high quality (albeit in a
much smaller size), etc.
The
color space used for the images is sRGB, which is adequate
for monitor viewing on most RGB and LCD monitors.
The
CD-ROMs include two terrific shareware graphic
applications:
- ThumbsPlus™
(for Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and XP): I have included
the shareware version of "ThumbsPlus™", by special
permission from Cerius Software. You may use it to browse
the pictures on your CD-ROM, view a slideshow, etc. You
need to register this shareware application if you
continue using it past the demo period.
- GraphicConverter™
(for Mac OSClassic and Mac OSX): I have included the
carbon version of "Graphic Converter™", by
permission of Lemke Software. You may use it to browse
the pictures on your CD-ROM, view a slideshow, etc. You
need to register this shareware application if you
continue using it.
